Children’s butterfly pattern set.

The prompt was to create a trio set of butterfly patterns to spread awareness of the endangerment of butterflies. Julia created these patterns to specifically shed light on monarch butterflies. These patterns are meant to be used in a children’s setting, so they can learn about butterflies from a young age. Monarch butterflies are threatened by pesticides, suburban sprawl, and fragmented and poisoned habitats. Monarchs feed off of milkweed, which is currently being decimated by these issues. Julia hopes that people can learn something from her artwork.
